"Any rational course typical of smart politicians" and the lack of it sums up Arizona. I lived there for years and the politics are wacky. Strangely, female politicians seem to thrive in AZ, as the state has had a couple of female governors, and also produced a female supreme court justice. Maybe it all started with Barry Goldwater, but whatever the case AZ politicans seem to have a credo of "go your own way." Is it compulsive defiance?
