As a female biker, I can relate to so much of this. I think motorcycles are the only constant for me in terms of identity. I can move, so my ADHD disappears. I can immerse myself in the moment. No one watches me while I'm on a bike--no backseat drivers. I can be alone in a way that is acceptable to myself and society. And I've overcome the breakdowns, the weather, the crashes. Now I'm nearly 60 and just upgraded my Kymco scooter to a Honda Helix. I'm a scooter gal now, I guess, but I'm still a lone wolf. Thanks for this wonderful painted picture of self-realization.
