As someone who used to sleep well and who now is lucky to get 6 hours, I can fully attest to how crappy life is without enough sleep. It affects my memory, which used to be good. If I have a particularly bad night--god forbid I'm excited about a trip or company visiting--I am barely functional. I've tried everything in the known universe: adjusting my diet (gluten and sugar free), cold room, relaxation/meditation, inclined bed, getting off caffeine, etc. Now I discover poor sleep is linked with Alzheimers! Good to know....gee, I wish I could not be this way.
