Commenters seem to be missing the point. Not all white people are bad, neither are all men misogynists. The fact that all white people are racists is a way of saying, 'white people don't understand our experience--stop pretending you get it.' All Men are not sexict BUT all men don't understand women's experience on a certain level, no matter how Woke they are. They don't understand walking down a dark street and taking 43 different precautions because you have to live in a physically dangerous world. It doesn't make them sexist, just garden variety human clueless because they are men. And for us white we are garden variety human clueless because we only get it when it is explained in exhaustive detail that racism is an everyday thing, puts lives in dangers, affects childhoolds, etc.
The trouble with this piece is that all white people are, in fact, clueless but that isn't the same as racist--a term that is vicious and proactive. It would be helpful to have a more nuanced discussion rather than another rant that lumps all people (men, women, white, black, young and old) into a neat category, and it's also frustrating to be LESS racist (which is real) and be well informed and feel symptahy and do things like march and donate $$ and still be called just as racist as every other (white) person. And the rejoinder to that sentiment is, 'stop thinking about your problems.' And around and 'round it goes.
