Costco is an above-average job by any stretch. You don't need a college degree to work their, they offer a decent wage + medical benefits, and the company has a great reputation. Compare this to Starbucks, which also pays okay for retail, but not as much. The benefits and opportunities for promotion are better at Costco. Becoming a millionaire is quite possible if you keep the same job for 30 years and get compensated at a reasonable rate, if you are more sensible than the average American, which it sounds like Marcie is.
