Don't take things away from people, like taking toys from kids or privilege from male/white/rich Americans. No one (of any race or gender) likes having their comforts removed. It's one of the reasons for the high rates of opioid abuse in the white & male world where high-paying jobs have disappeared. It's one of the reasons, so rightly identified in this piece, for the rage and violence we are seeing. But we are bound to keep losing ground in America, so we need a way to mend and heal, too.
