During the first election, I laughed away that Trump could ever become President. This one, I was pretty sure he would win. Now he is appointing lunatics to his cabinets and our media seems unable to simply say this. I think it's probable they'll gut Social Security. Since Disability and Food Stamps are even easier targets, they may start there. I suspect they'll do what they've done with public education and starve the agencies of funds needed to do their jobs, thus punishing all the employees along with the recipients. I would suggest an effective grassroots organization that is working to get Dems elected next time. I don't think the Trump phenomenon is going to turn around for a long, long time. Americans are angry - that's why they voted for him. They want jobs that pay decently without a huge investment in college. The people they are angry at are urban, college-educated people but they have zero clues that their lives (their apps, their entertainment, their banking) are run by these people. They think the government should stay out of their lives. Most Trumpers I know are on gov't assistance. Now, I shall step off the soap box!
