Ex-Disability Examiner (DE) here. I recall a claimant who was 400 pounds with severe anemia (requiring 2 but not 3 transfusions), a 4th grade education, native Spanish speaker, and worked picking lettuce. The hematologist in our office denied him...although I fought hard, it was pointless. He didn't Meet the listing for anemia, although he did "equal" it in my view.
