Here's my sob story: was making pennies then signed up with a True Crime pub and wrote a few stories that got thousands of reads...and made bank last month. Then I submitted a story to the same pub, different editor, he rejected it, I responded (civilly) and they dropped me as a writer! No recourse, wondering what True Crime I committed LOL.
