I ageee with most of this, as an ex-fat person. Carbs and sugar are almost always the kiss of death, and some of us (most of us?) don't moderate them well. I got slim (120 lbs) eating fewer carbs (no grains, little dairy, no nuts or seeds or potatoes) but got really slim (under 110) going zero carb. I don't think zero carb is for everyone but most people do quite well on a keto diet. Nothing else--except extreme, low-fat vegan--has worked for me. On a vegan diet I was always hungry and had to take a B supplement. Anyway, nice article...!
