I agree with your concerns but that's because I'm not prone to thinking humans are special. When they program AI for writing they use the greatest writing in history, I assume, along with popular writing that sells (which maybe or maybe not are the same), so it's going to be better than the way most people write--because we know most people aren't very good writers. It's a set of rules, like driving a car--and since most people aren't good drivers, the safety features on cars that sense danger are mostly plusses. But the question I have is: what worker wants their job taken away by a robot? Sure, if it's a crappy job...but even then, if there is no replacement, what shall this person do to make a living? Look at how poorly we are paid as it is because of online competition and the devolution of publishing into a lottery-like game! Yes, AI will take over many writing tasks. I'm concerned because I'm Gen X and my career has been a series of rugs being pulled out from under me as the economy shifts to a place where cogs are more valuable than people.
