I am a 58 y/o female who has the same issue with carbs/sugar. I've found keto to be the only thing that works for me. I can sustain keo more than any other diet. Low-calorie diets are a nightmare and "healthy" whole-food diets don't work....I just get addicted to the "healthy" carbs like oatmeal and whole grain bread and potatoes. Despite all the work, I'd rather go back on keto (and go through the withdrawals) than take Ozempic. I don't want to lose lean muscle mass, or be queasy, and I know what works. It's just HARD work and rather frustrating as it's like a second job to keep myself on the food straight and narrow. Food addiction is very real (although it's really carb addiction) but it's hard to convey this to non-addicts who don't understand how the body has a mind of its own with addiction.
