I couldn’t figure out from the media coverage if they meant the cords were 70 feet when they found him (seems likely) vs. when he linked them together. In general, I’m highly suspicious of bungee cords, which I’ve used to strap down all manner of things to the top of my car, always wondering: aren’t these just reinforced elastic?!?
