I discovered I was autistic after reading a Medium article " The Highly Sensitive Person is Autistic Autistic Autistic" and I am grateful. The HSP book always seemed fishy to me. It felt a lot like the gaslighting of being placed in the "gifted and talented program" as a kid and feeling neither gifted nor talented. The one person I know who identifies as HSP does so loudly, and she is a dyed-in-the-wool badge wearer. On the other hand, I do feel some HSPs will get a clue and research neurodivergence as a result of reading the book. Elaine Aron could do us all a big fat favor by admitting HSP is neurodivergence, but I guess she doesn't to join the autistic club.
