I don't have a lot of clothing sensory issues, although I detest tights and even the all-the-rage yoga pants, but I find colors problematic. While I LOVE color, putting together outfits is a struggle. I go through major indecision over the concept of "mixing and matching" and have concluded the easiest is jeans and tee-shirts, which somehow always go together (in my mind) as long as they don't clash (like purple & red). The type of fabric also can't clash--like cotton + polyester. I usually just wear cotton to be safe, since I dislike synthetic fabrics. I do care about how I look, but figuring out fashion rules is tiring. I never realized any of this until I got the AuDHD dx -- no wonder leaving the house is such a production! Thank gods for the post-COVID rise in soft pants & the dawning of the age of casual wear in church!!
