I don’t know, frankly. At this stage, I find honesty comforting. Maybe it’s like the stages of death and we are currently at the anger stage as a society? I feel that we as a society are fragmented on this issue. We desperately need leadership in order to come together as a community on a national — and global — level. Even with COVID, I felt by wearing a mask and staying in and getting vaccinated I was CONTRIBUTING. I don’t know how to generate that sense of duty with global warming, but I do think that sense of community and ‘we’re all in this together’ is what’s so desperately needed.
