I eat meat exclusively from regenerative farming, eggs from our local farmers, and fish I catch in the lake. As a former vegan who developed health problems because (like many vegans) I took to living on mostly whole wheat bagels and gobs of broccoli, I can report that my health as a carnivore is better than it's ever been in my life. I developed an autoimmune disease on a healthy vegan diet, following Onrish & McDougall, along with various mental health issues, including seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Now that I get nutrients--especially red meat and saturated fat--I feel much better. On top of that, there is no naturally occurring vegan society--ever. Why? Because meat tastes good and is highly nutritious.
