I found life better without sugar. I eat lots of red meat on the keto plan and don't worry about it. I can't overeat on meat/fat and feel good, but with sugar even a tiny big sends me into major hunger zone. I'm okay with it, mainly because I'm trying to reverse and autoimmune disease. But for people who don't have a diagnosis, I can see it's a grind to restrict "normal" foods just for weight loss or fewer aches and pains.
