I gave a talk called Neurodivergence in Women: The Big Difference for a women's Retreat at my church, and it was well-received. I go the Unitarian church, well-known for its tolerance (and long hx of ND people like Thoreau and Jefferson), and I'd like to give a talk to the congregation, but I'm not so sure. It's hard to blend my personal journey with describing ADHD/autism. I'm concerned I'll have to bear one or two idiots talking loudly and slowly to me now that they see me as "disabled." I have no problem with public speaking, but it's the other kind of scrutiny as your picture so clearly shows that puts me on edge.
