I have a hard time showcasing my strengths because the stress from tolerating "normal" working environments becomes more difficult as I get older. Meetings, multi-tasking, collaboration, and making sure my face isn't in RBF mode, or my voice isn't mumbling, take a lot of energy. My strengths -- logic, analysis, making connections, creative problem-solving--are sometimes resented. People sometimes think I'm cheating when I arrive at an aswer sooner or without "showing my work." It's frustrating, to say the least. Ageism is putting up an additional barrier.
