I just got dx'd last year at 57 with both. I am a poster child for benefitting from routine but am unable to sustain it; always going off on new hobbies and constantly interrupting any set life pattern. Vacations throw me for a loop but I need them. I can write on any topic but finding any depth is difficult, even if it's a special interest. My husband is autistic only and has stuck with one career job for 25+ years, whereas I could not. I do better with transitions than he does, however. I think on my feet better....but I actually feel the ADHD issues are more impactful to my life than the autistic ones. Thanks for this comparison!!
