I keep in mind that there is a good evolutionary reason for autism that has nothing to do with disorder. We have to work harder and without us most of the great insights, from living "an examined life" to Newton's discovery of gravity, to Jefferson's Declaration of Independence, wouldn't exist. I must be having one of those rare days of "I'm grateful at least I know it's AuDHD!" Also the other day I ran into an acquaintance who I know is autistic and we were sitting next to each other and she began stimming with a resltess leg and I felt comforted knowing I was with one of my own kind. The knowledge I'm AuDHD has created a lot more compassion, but I get what you mean--some days it's just a drag to deal with the larger world of ignorance.
