I Like Heroes Who Don’t Get Wounded

A former US Senator died this week. His name was Bob Dole, and he hailed from Russellville, Kansas. Voted best-looking boy in his senior class, he shipped off to World War II where shrapnel felled him.

His wounds were so severe he was left for dead on the battlefield.
