I live in a gated community and this is the story here. I've struggled for 4 years (2 of them Covid) which has included 2 community theatre plays, volunteering at church (x5), church game night, working at the police department, attending taco Tuesday, taking a class, and being on 2 trivia teams, plus a basketball group, and volunteering in town....It's not working. It's very frustrating. Even at my church full of non-conformists the progress has been glacial. People are into their grandkids and trips.
