I love your message. As someone who eats carnivore to address an autoimmune condition, I fully grok what it means to eat restrictive. I make it a point to eat beef liver, bone marrow and a good fat ratio, as I was instructed when I learned this diet. I eat mainly beef and lamb as ruminant meat is more nutrient-dense. To me, it's balanced--but good luck getting anyone else to understand that. Of course, I feel much better after only a couple of months and my labs look excellent ... but there is so much hype and BS regarding what a "balanced diet" is, I don't bother getting into what I eat with others unless they show a geniune interest. If anything, this "restrictive" diet makes me feel much more sane, as my blood sugar isn't spiking and plummeting all day, I can eat two meals to satisfaction, and my lab numbers show my TSH (a marker of levels of thyroid hormone) is improving significantly.
