I made okay $ (40 bucks an hour) on Upwork on a series of jobs writing grants for technology to track Covid using a wearable device. That's the layman's terms because it was very technical and I did a lot of IRB submissions that I have experience with. So, yeah $40 an hour was for actual work at which I have the expertise, plus grad degrees. So, knock me over with a feather but it turns out there is no such thing as a frickin' free lunch! Substack has taken me nowhere unless I churn out high-quality copy on the regular. My Medium earnings have tanked to less than $100 this month. Turns out I gotta work for a living and even when I do, this writing thing pays worse than delivering pizzas.
