I moved to AR from Tucson, AZ three years ago because of the water crisis, and worsening summer heat. (People who can afford it leave in summer). My realtor friend in Tucson says people are still gleefully moving in and buying homes. I am befuddled ... especially by the smart people who have watched the hotter and dryer summers, and worsening fires. They could leave, but refuse to make plans. At some point, real estate will take a giant nose dive. After the CAP water is reduced, as the Colorado River runs dry. I suspect the situation in CA is even worse. It's quite puzzling but I guess we don't want to admit the West is in a death sprial.
