I moved to the South a few years ago, and how seriously people take religion down here --Christianity--is scary. Many religions are cult-like and use Jesus as a touchstone to attract naive, young, lost 'followers' seeking simple answers to life's complicated problems. I am thankful every day my parents raised me without religion.
