I recently gave a workshop on Neurodivergence in Women to two groups at our church retreat. We are Unitarians so pretty open-minded. It went beyond my expectations. People were genuinely interested and several felt they identified. They shared family and personal stories. I was blown away, especially since I've rarely gotten that kind of reception after giving a talk. I do think some of this is due to burgeoning awareness of neurodiversity, especially for women and older women. But the right audience makes all the difference--and I guess I had no idea what I've been missing!
