I relate heavily to this. The dominant allistic viewpoint infiltrated psychology long ago. One factor that bugs me the most is how women and girls and BIPOC continue to be woefully left out of the conversation to the extent that we are still missing so much data on what autism actually is. Every academic should reference the fact that 80% of autistic girls may be the undiagnosed. How do you study a condition without that huge deficit of cases??
