I sometimes think many Americans are sympathetic to Ukraine because the victims are white (unlike Iraqui people, remember them) and the aggressor is Russian, and even the GOP extremists can recall we've had a fraught relationship with Russia, to say the least, over the years. But ultimately we aren't willing to give up our cheap gasoline, are we?
