I think most people are not "passionate" in the way our culture defines it, because the word is inextricably linked with success, brilliance, genius.. Most people don't have the time or resources to pursue passions, so we get out of the habit (if we ever had it) when Life happens. I'm currently doing my first Paint by Numbers painting. It's okay. I enjoy it, but wil I get passionate about painting bigger and better and more original pieces? I go to estate sales and find the vestiges of lives: sewing kits, Xmas decorations, woodworking tools. Were these passions, or just practical hobbies to pass the time?
