I think this dude who can barely write is taking stuff kinda personal in this article. He's not rational and misses the gist of the "man vs bear" phenomenon. It's only meant to underline women's real-world concern for physical safety. I live in the woods and I'd rather run into a bear than a man, but I'd also rather run into a bear than a loose dog (maybe not a chihuahua) or a mountain lion. Any man, even a shorter, older Mexican dude, would make me more nervous than a bear because men carry guns and somehow, are almost always hungry.
