I think this is rather interesting because what the DSM is assuming are standard social hierarchical dynamics. The lower status person (autistic) shouldn't be talking about themselves, but the higher-status (neurotypical) person should. Nobody questions this particular dynamic. It sounds ruthless, but that's what I've observed in neurotypical social interactions--a strict adherence to formal and informal social hierarchy.
