I, too, am flummoxed as to how to pivot correctly on Medium for $$. I have 7.3K followers, I sometimes put my stories on FB, and I have two Substack newsletters. (I would recommend trying Substack: it's super easy to use, free to your readers, and the "front page" looks like an actual newsletter.) I somehow earned $235 last month on Medium, which is a good month (oh, for the days of $2K a few years ago...). In the meantime, I am slogging away in year 2 of writing my true crime biography City of Lies, A Street Hustler's Omaha Story and hoping Medium will shift again so that people can see my articles!
