I totally get it but my husband doesn't. I'd love to move to another country but he believes it would cost too much to move--I keep telling him we'd make up the difference in a year or two of not paying 7K a year for my health insurance (for the next 10 years!), of not paying exorbitant utility bills, of not paying absurdly high tax rates.

It's truly mind-boggling how awful this country has become. We make a decent monthly income, live in a low-cost area, have the house fully paid off and own two other small rental properties--and we still struggle to save money. And the reason is very simple: American life is incredibly expensive.

The only people who can afford to live here are millionaires.
