I used to live in Tucson, and would drive an hour south to Mexico to get thyroid (synthroid) refills, which were cheap and didn't require a prescription. It was a half day trip but it was worth it just to avoid another interaction with the US healthcare system. Synthroid is the most prescribed drug in the world and it's a prime example of one that rarely needs adjusting. Once a year is sufficient for most people....but it's all about the money here in the greatest nation on earth [sarcasm].
