I used to work in the "old days" and decent job training, a paid uniform, and paid tools of the trade (by the employer) were standard. Over time, these "benefits" have been eroded. The lack of training is the most galling. Expected an employee in ANY job to know what to do without conveying any actual knowledge or letting the new person practice is a form of gaslighting.
