I went into problem solving mode and discovered a drastic change in diet (no sugar, flour, wheat, or nightshades) worked wonders. I only did this because of the inability to sleep through the night, which led to a zombie existence. It's easy to stay away from problem foods (I eat a carnivore diet) because if I indulge, the symptoms come back--poor sleep, and eventually hot flashes. I also have a friend who says she had zero menopause symptoms. I suspect having an underlying illness (I have Hashimoto's) can cause more menopausal problems.
