I'm surprised anyone is buying beachfront property in Florida, but I guess a sizable percent of Americans still love the beach and believe it won't happen to them, it's far off int he future, and/or they can rebuilt. Beach dreams die hard. I retired to Arkansas from Arizona largely because of climate. Too much heat, too little water, too many western fires all added up to relocating somewhere with a kinder, gentler climate.
