Is this a joke? Trump is a pretender. He's done zilch for peace in the middle east but of course he takes credit for any progress. This is like saying Trump is the reason the stock market keeps climbing despite the economic devastation Americans now live with, every day. It's like saying Trump is responsible for getting more COVID tests out there when in fact he's done nothing but obstruct efforts to deal with COVID.

If he were actively "brokering a deal" there would have been a plan, US leadership and a coherent story. We are continuing to function as a society (barely) despite Trump. The mideast is making progress (dubious) despite Trump and his odious minions.
