It runs about $400 a month. If you are under 65 you are paying a lot more. I’m 58 and mine is $855 a month (up $100 from last year). I also pay $100 a month for prescriptions. My husbands total costs run about $500 a month. So that’s $1500 if you want medical insurance although it’s not really a choice because if you go without you are risk for bankruptcy with any major illness. This is why I find the $3000/month budget a little unrealistic for 2 people. Housing—$1000, Groceries—$800, healthcare—$1500. Utilities, gas, clothing, etc are another $300 a month or more. It adds up quickly.
