It's bizarre to me why someone working remotely would get a lower salary. Sounds like FB is using it as an excuse to rake in more cash for executives. Why would it cost the company more to have a remote worker when they save on office space? The model of national-level tech employees will have an analogous effect as globalization in other industries: diminishing everyone's salaries in a race to the bottom.
