It's not hard to observe the advantages of taller, good-looking people int he workplace. At my last job, all the supervisors were taller than average and all (except one, who was really tall and had great hair--never underestimate the power of hair) were better looking than average. Everyone wants to believe that with pluck, hard work and attitude, the sky's the limit. The fact is--life is simply easier for some people. Some people do have actual advantages, like being born rich or having a likable face.
