I've been reading about how Antarctica is melting from underneath and the high probability of this huge chunk breaking off soon, and the 2-3 foot of sea level rise. The scary part is that when it happens I doubt governments (especially in developed nations that spew massive amounts of CO2) are going to react by curtailing the activities that are causing the greenhouse warming in the first place. I foresee us attempting to continue with business as usual. We don't seem likely to put the brakes on gas-powered vehicles, grow more trees, curtail flying for leisure, or manufacturing huge amounts of concrete. But then, we will see within the next decade.
