I've usually tested high but I loved tests as a child. I mean, it was a chance to focus on something that wasn't sitting in a classroom trying to listen, which is my worst skill. Tests were quiet, and I was left alone! So what I should've gotten out of the testing high situation was - loves tests, hates classrooms. But the message I got instead was, "you're smart, everything's easy for you, why aren't you more successful?" My gpa hovered around 2.5 till graduate school when everyone got As or Bs - because I disliked the classroom. "IQ" testing needs a major overhaul if it's going to ever be used to help educate anyone. If you score very high or very low, they pigeon-hole you.
