I've worked service jobs and also as a high school teacher and experienced exactly the same dead-end fatigue, questioning how to get off the carousel. It doesn't have to be a mindless job, just an exhausting one. Agree 100% that as soon as you can BREATHE, which for me is having about 20 hours a week of actual work obligation (now writing) you begin to feel human again.
