Learning to accept that most of life is out of control is the heardest lesson. "Normal" people don't give control a second throught because they got a big helping of it - and this makes being neurodivergent a burden. You feel you have to justify your "difficult" existence. I think this goes for both parents of neurodivergent kids and those of us who realize we are different. "Normal" people don't need that precious gift of insight that psychologists except those of of us with problems to magically have. Neurotypical people don't have insight, don't think (or overthink), and don't need to. Attitude and acceptance is everything.
