Moved from Tucson AZ three years ago for this reason. Tucson is a bit more on the ball than Phoenix, but a few months after we drove east to resettle in AR, a huge fire erupted. The next summer was brutally dry. Then, the next summer was too rainy--but we know people (smart people!) who were so relieved at the wet summer. They are in deep denial.
