People like to stand out, even if they look like fools. I had a supervisor with a neck tattoo of a Japanese symbol and I asked him what it meant. "I forgot," he replied. He wasn't being funny. I should've run for the hills but I did my usual BS mental gymnastics and felt sorry for him. Someday, I'll learn, gods willing. Remembering that incident is helping me be less of an idiot. TL:DR Most of us are idiots at something.
